Connolly, Joyce Anne, 70, loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, peacefully left us to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, August 27, 2012. Joyce was born to James Y. and Jean B. Connolly in Kearny, NJ. She moved to Valley Center at the age of 7 where she was raised. She was a 1960 graduate of Valley Center High School. She also raised her three sons here before moving to Phoenix, Arizona. After six years in the desert and several in Wichita, she finally moved back to Valley Center. After many years and several careers, Joyce fully realized her passion of helping people and serving Jesus as administrator of Word of Life Counseling Center. She is survived by her sons, Rodney Heaton and wife Laura, Rand Heaton and Ryan Heaton, all of Wichita; grandchildren, Rayden Heaton, Brendan Heaton, Amanda Heaton, Aja Howerton, Darius Iniguez and great granddaughter, Evangeline Howerton; brother, Jay (Tonya) Connolly of LaFayette, LA; sisters, Jill (Robert) Stauss of Rose Hill, Jacque (Gary) Koenigs of Goddard, and Jan (Pat) Hale-Mansfield of Andover; her beloved companion "Skye"; many other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Jean Connolly. She will be greatly missed. Visitation 5-7 pm, Thursday, August 30 at Baker Funeral Home, Valley Center. Service at 2 p.m., Friday, August 31, at Word of Life Church, 3811 N. Meridian, Wichita. Burial following the service at Valley Center Memorial Cemetery.
