JOSEPH A. MORRIS 'JOE' , 47, of Valley Center passed away January 5, 2017. He was born in Wichita, Kansas where he attended schools and graduated from Bishop Carroll High School in 1987. He was an OTR Truck Driver for many years. Joe loved music and never missed the Walnut Valley Bluegrass Festival in Winfield. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys football fan! He enjoyed being ornery, hanging out with friends and just loving life. But most of all he loved his time with his family and making the holidays special also. Joe is survived by his parents, Robert and LaVerne Morris of Valley Center; his brother, Greg Morris and wife Patty of Wichita; sisters Cindy Pierce of Crawfordsville, Indiana and Cathy Morris of Valley Center; nephews and nieces, Scott (Rachael) Morris of Hutchinson, Amy (Arlan) Spexarth of Goddard, Alicia (Jerry) Snearly of Michigan City, Indiana, Julia Pierce, Brad Pierce and Kevin Pierce of Crawsfordsville, Indiana, and Audrey Morris of Valley Center; great nieces Ella, Addy and Emerson, and great nephew Jackson; many other family and friends who will greatly miss his humorous smile and his 'beard'. Service will be held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 10, at St. Jude Catholic Church, 3030 N. Amidon, Wichita, Kansas, a lunch will follow in fellowship hall. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be designated in his name to the Joseph A. Morris Memorial Fund at Intrust Bank, 142 N Ash, Valley Center, KS 67147. Baker Funeral Home Valley Center has charge.
