John Edwin Sweeny "Uncle Eddie", 74, retired Bentley Sandpit Crane Operator, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2014. He was born in Valley Center, Kansas to Harold Raymond Sweeny and Karaleen (Winter) Sweeny. He was raised in Valley Center and attended schools there through High School. He is survived by his sister Betty Weeks (she passed away April 8, 2014); many nieces, nephews and other family. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Buddy Sweeny and Dennis Sweeny. Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 15 at Baker Funeral, 100 S. Cedar, Valley Center. Private family burial will be held at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Bentley, Kansas.
