John B. Stewart III, age 72, retired cross country truck driver and maintenance engineer passed away peacefully with family by his side on Tuesday, October 15, 2024.

John was a quiet, devoted man who lost the love of his life about 19 months ago, and was ready to reunite with her again.

He loved a good political conversation and focused his attention to anything GMC trucks. He spent his time fixing, repairing watches and was a jack of all trades.

John is survived by his sons, John B. Stewart IV of El Dorado, Brandon "Hoss" (Rachael) Stewart of Wichita; daughters Tonya (Mark) Bargas of Park City and Brianna Stewart of Canon City, CO; grandchildren Alleesa Stewart, Sydnie (JD) Fox, Trevor Stewart, Ellie Stewart, Millie Stewart, Lucie Stewart, Owen Stewart, Vince Stewart, Cooper Stewart, Inca Bargas, Austin (Macey) Connell, Breanna Haden, Bryce Connell, Cohen Connell; 6 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, in-laws and family.  He was preceded in death by his wife Yvonne Stewart, father John B Stewart II and son Rick Connell Jr.

Family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.
