AUGUSTA,   KANSAS  formerly of Valley Center

JOHN  ALBERT  SCHILLING, SR. , 81, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at home. John was born in Waterville, Kansas. He married the love of his life, Patricia Philbrick, on August 16, 1964. He worked at Cudahy, Safeway & Farmland Meat Packing, and retired from Valley Center USD 262 maintenance in 2008. John was an avid carpenter, clockmaker, martial arts, proud veteran, Christian, devoted husband and father.

He is survived by Patricia, his wife of 55 years; son, John Schilling Jr of Augusta; daughter, Sheila Schilling Kreutner of Salisbury, Maryland; grandchildren, Christopher Schilling of Augusta, John Schilling III of Wichita, Isabel and Samuel Alberto Kreutner of Salisbury, Maryland; great-granddaughter, Lauren Schilling; brother, Rollen Brauch; sisters, Patricia Patnaude and Lodessa Chaney; aunts, Mildred Buck and Dolly Toburen. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nellie Belle Mottsinger and brother, Lester Schilling.

Services will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 5th at Baker Funeral Home Valley Center, Kansas.  Graveside following the service at the Valley Center Memorial Cemetery.
