John Albert Nixon, 85, passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2025.  He was born in Pratt, Kansas, on Wednesday, November 15, 1939 to Rolland Alphonso Nixon and Verna Faye (Walker) Nixon. He married Ethlyn L. (Baalman) Nixon who preceded him in 2012.

He lived on the family farm in Langdon, Kansas until he joined the Air Force in 1962. After he served his country, he came home and settled in Park City, Kansas. He worked at Beech Aircraft in the Missile Electronics department for 40 years.

John is survived by two sisters, Ruth Duscher of Buhler, KS and Joan (Bill, Sr.) Newman of Avondale, AZ; nephews Bill Jr (Lori) Newman, John P. (Sheila) Newman of Avondale, AZ; stepson Mike (Barbara) Lesperance of Sedgwick, KS; grandchildren Donnie (Tiffany) Lesperance, Brian (Michelle) Lesperance, Frank Lesperance, Tenille (Wes) Holmes, Charlie (Amber) Lambertz, Katie Lambertz; numerous great grandchildren, other family and friends. John is preceded in death by his parents Rolland & Faye Nixon, wife Ethlyn Nixon and sister Lucille Flynn.

Services will be held at St. Jude Catholic Church, 3030 N. Amidon Ave, Wichita, Kansas on Thursday, September 18 with Rosary 10:00 a.m. and Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 a.m.  Graveside will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 1640 N. Maize Rd, Wichita, Kansas.

Memorials may be designated to St. Jude Catholic Church, 3030 N. Amidon Ave, Wichita, KS 67204.
