John Paul Helmandollar, 72, from Wichita, KS, went to be with his Lord on May 27, 2019, surrounded by family.

John was born in Bluefield, WV to Harman Price and Rachel Wright Helmandollar on December 15, 1946. He attended Bluefield High School before enlisting in the Army where he was stationed in Fort Hood, TX.

After the Army, he continued to reside in Texas for 45+ years operating his own remodeling and construction company. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and bowling with his family. He was an excellent bowler having been a member of many bowling leagues and tournaments over the years. This passion eventually led to him becoming a USBC certified coach. He enjoyed coaching both adults and children, including local high school leagues in Katy, TX.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda, of 33 years; children Glenda, James, Randall, April and Daniel Helmandollar; grandchildren Justin, Jessica, Amanda, Tracy, Tyler, Sara, Brandon, Meagan, Pryce and Alyssa, and many great grandchildren; sisters Betty (Roger) Stroupe, Geraldine (Stanley) Rose and brothers Gerald (Cynthia) Helmandollar and Billy (Tammy) Helmandollar.
