WICHITA, KS
Colaw, John Orval Jr., 83, Entrepreneur and tavern owner, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2014. He was born in Rest, Kansas to John Colaw, Sr. and Frances (Kennison) Colaw. He was a graduate of North High School. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a Korean War Veteran. Life Celebration Service will be held 3:30 p.m., Saturday, February 15, at Side Pockets, 600 S. Tyler Rd. No 222, Wichita, Ks. He is survived by his children John Colaw III of Kansas City, MO, daughters Debra Morgan of St. Helens, OR and Sandra Stuteville of Palm Bay, FL; grandchildren John Colaw IV, Candice Colaw, Daisy Colaw all of Kansas City, MO, Christina Sullivan of St. Helens, OR and Cynthia Hartley of Wichita, Ks, and Michael Stuteville of Palm Bay, FL; four great grandchildren; brother Darrel Colaw of Arkansas. He is preceded in death by his wife Verda Mae Colaw, parents John O. and Frances Colaw. In lieu of flowers, memorials designated to the "Verda Colaw Engineering Scholarship", % WSU Foundation, 1845 Fairmount, Wichita, Ks. 67260-002. Baker Funeral Home, 100 S.
