Gunnels, Joel Orin III, 74, Foley Newsome Oil Company, Inc. general manager, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2013. He was born in Colby, Kansas to Joel O. Gunnels II and Della (Patterson) Gunnels. He was a private Pilot, avid animal lover, and he loved working on muscle cars. He is survived by his daughters, Gretchen Brown of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Joelle Gunnels Lehman of Hays, Kansas; grandchildren, Lacey, Robert, Taylor, Reagan, Ryan, Caleb, Kiefer, Kade, Kameron and Carley; brothers, Steve (Gail) Gunnels of Colorado, John (Shauna) Gunnels of Gillette, Wyoming; sister, Sherry (Leo) Perry of Seattle, Washington; many other family and friends. He is preceded by his father Joel, mother Della, step-father Kenneth, step-mother Lela, sister Linda and step-brother Stan. Visitation 5-7 p.m., Thursday, July 11; Service, 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 12, held at Baker Funeral Home, 100 S. Cedar, Valley Center. Memorials may be designated to Harden Hospice, 2622 W.
