Jerry Max Shafer, 90, of Wichita, Kansas passed away on October 2, 2026. He was born in Topeka, Kansas on May 6, 1936.  On January 24, 1960, he married the love of his life, Sharon. They were married 62 years before she passed.

Jerry dedicated his whole career as a printer working at Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas.

He is survive by his sons, Jeb Shafer of Florida, James Shafer of Wichita, Kansas, and grandson Broc Shafer of Wichita.  He was preceded in death by his wife Sharon, mother Helen Shafer and father H.W. Shafer.

Burial will be at a later date in Dwight, Kansas.
