Jennifer (Hagen)
King
May 8, 1972 – March 9, 2026
Jennifer M. King, of Valley Center was taken Home to Jesus early Monday morning, the 9th of March, she was known to most as Jenny. She was born in Dover, DE at the AFB where her parents were stationed at the time. She was the firstborn daughter of the greatest parents a girl could ask for. She was a big sister, and by that, meaning older. She was a mother to a beautiful, miracle baby daughter that was her whole world and became a mother-in-law on October 26th, 2024. Jenny was an aunt to 4 beautiful Nieces, 2 nephews and a Great-Aunt to three adorable and lovable Great-Nieces.
Jenny's family returned to her mother's small hometown in 1974 and grew up in a house of love, discipline, home-cooked meals at the dining room table, chores, traditions and laughter. Her mother introduced her and her sister at a young age to Jesus taking them to the local 1st Christian Church where they would attend Sunday School, sit on the 3rd pew in the sanctuary and participated in multiple church plays throughout her elementary – Jr. High years, when she enjoyed being a part of the Youth Group.
She was told at a younger age she would not be able to have children. While she thought she must have stomach cancer, she found out she was pregnant in May and had her miracle baby in August of 2000 at a whooping 2 lbs. 13 oz. She was a devoted mother that spent the night at the hospital while her baby girl was fighting for her life in NICU for 45 days. She was the ultimate single mom and she had the most incredible blessing in life from the Lord.
Jenny enjoyed watching her daughter grow up, attending events, getting ready for proms, always ready and willing to help her in any way and eventually getting ready to walk her down the aisle. This was probably the happiest day of her life.
She will be greatly missed until we reunite with her in God's timing. The family would like to invite you to Riverlawn Christian Church, 4243 N. Meridian Ave, Wichita, Kansas on Sunday afternoon, March 22nd at 2:00 to celebrate her life and to hear a little more about what an incredible person she will always be to us. We thank you in advance for all of your prayers and support as we walk through losing someone so dear to all of us.
