Obituary

Jared Michael Trujillo, age 42, of Sedgwick, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. He was born in Newton, Kansas to Edward D. Trujillo, Jr and Kelly Ann (Iseli) Trujillo. He was raised in the Sedgwick area where he attended schools, participated in football, basketball and was an amazing wrestler having went to State for 2 years. A graduate of Sedgwick High School Class of 2002, he attended Labette Community College on a wrestling scholarship. Jared began his career working for Grasshopper, then Hustler Turf, many years with Case New Holland, drove for Fedex and recently started with Stanley Black & Decker.

Jared was an avid photographer that had amazing pictures of Wichita's Keeper of the Plains.  Families of co-workers had him capture so many special moments that will live on forever. He loved the 4th of July, celebrating birthdays together with his 'twin cousin' Stef Zerbe, was an avid Kansas City Chiefs and KU basketball fan. Yet Jared's greatest love was being with his family, especially spending time at Grandma’s home at the Marion County Lake fishing, tubing behind the patoon boat and skiing.

He is preceded by his dad Edward D. Trujillo Jr., grandpa Edward D. Trujillo Sr, grandma Vilia Romero, Uncle Ben, Aunt Diane and Uncle Kevin.

Jared is survived by his mom Kelly Trujillo (Kenneth Fisher) of Sedgwick, brother Eddie Trujillo and wife Kim of Valley Center, brother Justin Trujillo of Wichita, nieces Maya Trujillo of Wichita and Soyeon Kim of Palmdale, CA, nephews Lincoln and Huddy Trujillo of Valley Center, grandparents Delmar & Nadine Iseli of Marion Kansas, many aunts, uncles, cousins, numerous other family and friends.
