JANET JUNE (BANGERT) MANLOVE, 82 years, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2018. She was born in Hays, Kansas to William Henry Bangert and Rachel Dorothy (Nuss) Bangert. She was raised in the Russell area where she attended school and graduated from Russell High School, Russell, Kansas. She was a nurses aide at the Russell Hospital and also worked at the Russell State Bank. On June 16, 1957, in Russell, Kansas she married the love of her life, Donald S. Manlove. They moved to Olathe, Kansas where she was a homemaker and raised their family. She also worked as a Word Production Secretary at Johnson County Community College. They moved to the Wichita area where she worked over the years at Ark Valley State Bank, volunteered at the Red Cross and Botanica Gardens. Janet was a longtime member of the Christ Lutheran Church being a part of many groups there including the Falcon Fellowship and Ladies Quilting group. Some of her things she enjoyed were reading, quilting and then cooking for her kids and grandkids. When she spoke, her words were always thought through and spoken with lengthy answers. Yet her greatest love was her family and spending time with them as much as possible. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Donald Manlove; her children, Cindy (Bob) Selby of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Brad Manlove of Wichita, Kansas, Mark (Holly) Manlove of Olathe, Kansas; grandchildren, Karli Manlove, Robert Selby, Breck Hatcher, Andrew Manlove, Jillian Manlove, Rachel Selby, Tyler Manlove and Harrison Manlove; great grandchildren, James Haun, Calland Novak and Braylee Novak; sister Joyce Mermis of Wamego, Kansas; many other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Evelyn Bangert.
