James (Jim) Voyd Perkins of Halstead, KS passed away April 13 2019, at the age of 80 in his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 28th, 1939 in Downs, Ks to Voyd and Grace Perkins. He served in the United States Navy from 1957-1962. He married Joan Kulesza of Newton Upper Falls, Massachusetts, in 1960. Jim was a life long truck driver. He enjoyed spending time with his family.

Jim is survived by his daughter Peggy Perkins of Halstead, Ks; son, John (Jane) Perkins, of Ocala, Fl; sister Darlene Davis of Abilene, Ks; brother Larry (Carol) Perkins of Mt. Hope, Ks; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and many loved nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by wife, Joan; daughter, Stacey; granddaughter, Andrea; parents, Voyd and Grace; brother, Ronald; sister, Peggy; and his niece, Darla.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 17th, 2019 at Sacred Heart Church, 419 Poplar, Halstead, Kansas. Private family burial at Halstead Cemetery, Halstead, Kansas.

Catholic Church. Rosary will begin at 10 am. Mass will begin at 10:30 am. Luncheon to follow in the Parish Center.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.bakerfhvc.com
