James "Jim" Lee Ireland passed away, Friday, June 9, 2023 surrounded by family. James was born the second son of Orris and Harriet Ireland on April 29, 1942 in Wichita Kansas, later moving to Valley Center with his family when he was ten years old where he lived out the rest of his life. James graduated high school in 1960 and achieved Eagle Scout recognition. He then attended Wichita State University, graduating in 1964. James went on to take the CPA certification exam and received the Golden Key Award indicating he passed on the first attempt with the highest score in the State. He started working at his father's private CPA practice in Valley Center. James went on to open his own practice where he worked as a CPA/Accountant for the remainder of his life.

James met Lynn Francis his Junior year of college. They were joined in marriage May 30th, 1964 and had three children. He was preceded in death by his parents Orris and Harriet Ireland. He is survived by his wife Lynn Ireland, brother Robert (Grace) Ireland, children Eric Ireland (Shawn Smith), Debbi (Wayne) Leach, and Kevin (Sue) Ireland, grandchildren Cassie (Tim) Hinerman, Kristy (TJ) Bliss, Ryan (Karissa) Ireland, Chloe (Matt) Ireland-Fish, Taylor Ireland, Evan Ireland, Payton Ireland, great-grandchildren Brenna and Brixton Hinerman, Kole McEntire, Cora, David and Naomi Bliss.

Visitation and Viewing 5-7 p.m.,  Monday, June 19 at the LeVenue, 109 W. Main, Valley Center, Kansas. Service 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 20 at the Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick, Kansas (W. 125th St. N.)   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Red Cross or the Leukemia Lymphoma Society.
