89, retired Blueprint Company Salesman, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2016. He was born in Gridley, Kansas to Roy Samuel Gilliam and Mae (Scales) Gilliam. He was a graduate of Valley Center High School. He married the love of his life Edna 'LaVerne' (Smith) Gilliam, who preceded him in death. He is also preceded by his parents, brother Bob, sisters Carol and Velma. Jim is survived by his children Don (Connie) Gilliam of Mulvane, Clay (Sandy) Gilliam of Hutchinson, and Cindy (Dana) Lees of Westfield, Massachusetts; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; brother Roy (Jean) Gilliam of Missouri and sister Odetta Lavender of Kansas; many other family and friends. Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 23, at the Mulvane Assembly of God, Mulvane, Kansas. A private family burial will be held at the Valley Center Memorial Cemetery.
