Engelbrecht, James Walter, 73, retired Echo Hills Greenkeeper, passed away Friday, August 16, 2013. He was born in Newton, Harvey County, Kansas, to Walter Bernard Engelbrecht and Helen (Bernowski) Engelbrecht. He is survived by his children, Carol (Norman) Price of Whitewater, Joanne Love of Whitewater, James Engelbrecht of Whitewater, John P. Engelbrecht of CO, Deborah (Bill) Cordts of Cassaday, Brenda Engelbrecht of Kechi; sisters, Grace Laferty and Ruth Carrigan, both of Kansas City, MO; friend and mother of children, Caroline (Ihde) Kiehl of Wichita; 15 grandchildren, 10 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Walter and Helen Engelbrecht, sister Mary Ragland, brothers Richard Engelbrecht and Lawrence Engelbrecht. Private Services. Baker Funeral Home, 100 S.
