On Sunday March 1, 2015, James "Jim" Robert Crane passed into eternal rest. Jim was born on November 26, 1928 in Denver, Colorado to William O. Crane and Dorothy (Slack) Crane. He spent his childhood growing up in the Denver and Cannon City, Colorado area. A Veteran of the Army Air Corp he went on to work multiple jobs across Colorado and Kansas first with a seismograph company and then for years as a road construction foreman. Jim ended his career as a branch manager for Redneck Trailer supply in Wichita Ks. After retiring Jim & Reva both enjoyed traveling in their motor home where they made several trips down to Florida and many trips to Colorado where Jim enjoyed fishing in the streams and rivers. Jim is survived by his two sons Robert of Wichita, Kansas and David (Mary Anne) of Panama City, Florida; five nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Melissa, Dustin, Tessa (Danny, son Logan), and Joshua (Samantha); and brother William Lloyd Crane (Emilia) of Midwest City, Oklahoma. He is preceded in death by his wife Reva, daughter Kathryn, parents William (Hilda) Crane and Dorothy (Burt) Hilgers, and brother Howard Crane. He will be deeply missed by all. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jim's name to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, Kansas 67202. Baker Funeral Home, Valley Center is handling the arrangements.
