HALSTEAD
Carroll, James Wayne "Uncle Jim", 66, retired Air Capital Delivery Truck Driver, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2014. He was born in Wichita, Kansas to John Raymond Carroll and Mary Frances (Petersen) Carroll. He was a graduate of North High School, Wichita, Kansas. He is survived by his wife Nancy Carroll of the home; son Michael Carroll of Wichita; brothers Victor (Barbara) Carroll of Wichita, Robert (Debra) Carroll of Grover Beach, CA, Troy (Debbie) Carroll of Benton; sisters Susan (Steve) Brown of Waverly, IL, Melinda Miskell of Wichita, Cynthia (Jerry) Oltmanns of Wichita, Mary Grimmett of Eureka and Angela (Joe) Morris of Eureka; 28 nieces and nephews, 47 great nieces and nephews; and 1 great great nephew. He is preceded in death by his parents John and Mary Carroll, brother Mark E. Carroll and his nephew Joseph Nolan. Memorials may be designated in memory of James W. Carroll to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 606 N. Main #202, Newton, Ks 67114. Visitation 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, April 8 and Service 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 9 both will be held at Baker Funeral Home, 100 S. Cedar, Valley Center. Private family burial will be held at Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick, Kansas. Condolences may be left for the family at www.bakerfhvc.com
