Brown, James Russell, 58, Spirit Aircraft machinist and Cattle Rancher, passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2012. He was born in Winfield, Kansas, to James Vernon Brown and Virginia Ruth (Highfill) Brown. Jim was a 1972 graduate of Valley Center High School. He loved cattle farming, Triumph motorcycles and his family. He is survived by his wife, Betty Brown of the home; son, Joshua Vineyard and his wife, Angela of Wichita; grandchildren, Haley, Bryce and Desiree; sister-in-law, Linda Highfill of Valley Center; cousins, Susie Brown of Wichita and Tom Brown of TX;sister-in-law, Sherrie Godwin of Wichita and brother-in-law, Dwight McClure of Newton; many other family and friends. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, James V. and Virginia Brown, brothers, Walter Ray Brown and Michael Highfill, and uncle, Gerald Brown. Visitation 4-6 pm, Sunday, July 1, at Baker Funeral Home, Valley Center. Services 9:30 a.m., Monday, July 2, will be held at Sunnydale Park Cemetery, 10357 N. Hydraulic, Valley Center.
