JAME (INGRAM)
ADELSON
September 7, 1966 – May 21, 2026
Jame Ruth (Ingram) Adelson was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 21, 2026. Jame was born on September 7, 1966, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to James Harold Ingram and Jacquelyn Ruth (Smith) Ingram. She grew up in Enid, Oklahoma and graduated from Chisholm High School in 1984.
She married Wesley Victor Karst on August 15, 1992, and together they raised four children—Eli, Laura, Jacob, and Gabriel. Jame was her children’s biggest cheerleader through musical performances, school sports, and life’s many milestones.
After they moved to Wichita, and later Valley Center, Kansas, Jame spent her working years serving in administrative roles at Central Christian Church, First Mennonite Brethren Church (now Ridgepoint Church), and The Midland Group Disability Professionals.
Jame married Michael “Mike” Darrin Adelson on October 15, 2022. Although their time together was shorter than they hoped for, Mike brought immense love and joy to Jame’s life. They cherished simply spending time together and with their children and grandchildren— enjoying weekly meals with Jacob and Gabriel, taking trips to Michigan to visit Laura and her family, and going to church with Eli and his family.
Jame loved others deeply and was known for her fun and sassy personality. She brought life and light into every room she entered. Jame adored her children and grandchildren, whom she enjoyed spoiling. Those who knew her know she always had a small dog companion; she will be greatly missed by her Havapoo, Jaxson. Most of all, she loved Jesus. A beautiful vocalist, Jame often shared her love of music and Jesus with others, sharing her testimony through worship.
Jame was preceded in death by her parents, James and Jacquelyn Ingram; sister Kathy Wilson; half-sister Debra Faircloth; and half-brothers, James Ingram Jr. and Paul Laubach.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Adelson; brother Jason Ingram; half-brother John Laubach; half-sister Robin (David) D’Amours; children Eli (Jessie) Karst, Laura (Micah) Gillen, Jacob Karst, and Gabriel Karst; and grandchildren Selah Karst, Samuel Karst, and Nolan Gillen.
A celebration of Jame’s life will be held Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Valley Christian Church, 1801 E 5th St. Valley Center, KS 67147. A visitation will take place before the service at 9:00 a.m. at the church. Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to the Bloom women’s ministry at Valley Christian Church.
