Jake Joseph Hallacy,, 26, passed away, Sunday, July 27, 2014. Jake loved life which was evident by his infectious smile. He treated everyone the same family, friends and acquaintences. He was an Eagle Scout and did not know a stranger. He has countless friends and was always there to give you an "et-a-boy" and crack a joke. In big brother style he had lots of advice. Family is very important to Jake, sharing outdoor activities, hunting, fishing and hiking. He camped out every month with scouts and achieved Eagle rank. They say you know a good mechanic when he never has time to work on his own truck, and that's our Jake. His wheels were always turning, he had ideas and projects undone. As Jake often said "life is too short, live life every day with friends and family." We will miss your hugs and kisses. He is preceded in death by his grandpa John J. Hallacy, Grandma Anita Sesker and his cousins Jamie Brown and LaDenna Sesker. He is survived by his parents David (Amy) Hallacy and Artys Hallacy (Dave Stukey); brother Luke Hallacy and sister Kendra Hallacy; step sisters Tiffany Smith, Stephanie Carr and Amy Weedan, step brother Nick Stukey; grandparents Gail Sesker, all of Valley Center and Marjorie Hallacy of Girard, Ks; many other family and friends. Visitation 5-7 p.m., Thursday, July 31 at Lifepoint Church, 400 S. Abilene, Valley Center. Services 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 1 at New Spring Church, 12200 E. 21st, Wichita. Burial following the service at Kechi Township Cemetery, 6523 N. Hillside, Wichita. There will be a potluck dinner following the graveside held at the Prairie Rose, 15231 NW Parallel St, Benton, Kansas. Memorials may be designated to KS DUI Impact Center, 355 N.
