Obituary

WICHITA, KANSAS

Jack Allen Johnson,
of Wichita, KS, passed away on, Sunday, September 23, 2018 at the age 62. Jack was born to Mary Elizabeth Mohller Peters on November 1, 1955 in Davenport, Iowa. Jack grew up in the Quad Cities with his mother and step-father and two brothers. He attended Rocky High School of Rock Island, Illinois. Jack was a self-employed Builder/Contractor and as a Carpenter he could turn any piece of wood into something beautiful. He also liked playing in his pool league and spending time with friends. He shared lots of time at all the family gatherings with his extended family, playing cards and games. He always made sure that Christmas was special. The Candlelight Service became one of Jack's favorite times at Christmas. He also loved being able to put on a great 4th of July Fireworks show and to watch all of the reactions on "The Brats" faces!

Jack is preceded in death by his mother Mary Peters, step-father, Stephen Peters, and grandmother Katherine Mohller. Jack is survived by his siblings, Michael Johnson and Todd Peters of the Quad Cities. His children Brandi Sumpter of the Quad Cities, Jack Lindley of Junction City, Kansas, and Taylor Eleen of Colorado. His grandchildren Tommy (Bianca) Mitchell, Kendra (Quan) Mitchell, great grandchildren Jannerro Mendez Jr., Salaya Mitchell, all of the Quad Cities. Also survived by his Extended Family, second mom Mildred "Mamo" Metzger of Harper, Kansas, sisters he wished for as a little kid Michaelle (Steven) Davis of Wichita, Kansas, Teresa (JD) Hays of Anthony, Kansas. "The Brats" Lynee' (Austin) English, JC (Bre) Klein, Abby Bailey, Miranda Payne, Collyn Metzger and Mack Metzger. Great Niece and nephews, Owen and Aaron English. Melody and Dean Klein.

Cremation has taken place and memorials can be sent to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice at 313 S Market St., Wichita Kansas 67202. Condolences may be left for the family at www.bakerfhvc.com
