Irene Joy Peavey, 86, loving wife and mother departed this life on Wednesday, May 20, 2020, surrounded by family.  She was born in Weatherford, Oklahoma to Jonas A. Albrecht and Lova Grace (Ellis) Albrecht. After the early passing of her mother, Irene was lovingly raised by her step-mother, Emma (Vogt) Albrecht.

She has joined Raymond, her husband of 56 years, who passed in 2012. Irene was a righteous woman who loved the Lord and her husband, children and grandchildren. She was very artistic in the home, gifted in gardening, jewelry, sewing, making french bisque dolls and hand crafting decorative eggs.

Our mother will be remembered for her kindness, love and an example of compassion.

She is survived by her children: Sharon Latimer of Valley Center, Kevin (Lucy) Peavey of Quincy, IL, Mark (Kathy) Peavey of Wichita, Carole Peavey of Valley Center, Julie (Steve) Alexander of Ada, OK, Nicolle (Mike) Bailey of Maize; 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; brothers, Earl Albrecht of Valley Center, Cleo Albrecht of Wichita; and sisters, Lorene Coon of CA, Connie Carter of Potwin.

Visitation Wednesday, May 27 at Baker Funeral Home Valley Center. Private Graveside Service for family will be held Thursday, May 28, at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Bentley, Kansas.
