Irene (Dean) McColm, age 97, passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 surrounded by love.  She was born in Wichita, Kansas on May 26, 1926 to D. Claude and Verda E. (Heath) Dean.  She attended Wichita schools and was a graduate of North High School.  On August 30 1946 she married William McColm. He preceded her in death on May 5, 1995.  Irene worked at Boeing Aircraft and then retired from Graphic Screen Printing.  She and her sister Fran volunteered for 17 years at the American Red Cross and were volunteers of the year in 2009.

Irene is survived by her brother Earl (Carleen) Dean, son Curt (Nadine) McColm, daughter-in-law Lori McColm, niece Earlene Miracle, caregiver Ashley Brown, 3 granddogs, other family and friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, son Steve McColm, sister Fran Gentry and niece Shelli Willis.

Graveside Service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 31, 2023 at the Kechi Township Cemetery, 6523 N. Hillside, Wichita, Kansas.
