HILDA MAE (BLANCHARD) JONES, 95, passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 in Newton, Kansas. She was born in Gotebo, Oklahoma to Claude Henry Blanchard and Beulah (Colter) Blanchard. She married the love of her life, Charles W. Jones. She worked in the early 50's as a Beech Aircraft clerk, then in the 60's as a Bethel Home head clerk where she retired in the mid-70's. After retirement Charles and Hilda loved travelling in their motorhome to the lake where they enjoyed fishing, camping and enjoying nature. She loved holidays, cookouts and time spent with her family along with her best friend Sophia Josephine Loren. She is survived by her children Charles (Lydia) Jones, Carol Mae (Leonard) Jones and Janice E. Jones; grandchildren Jimmy Jones, Amy Buller, Scott Buller, Karrie Eckhardt, Lisa (Tony) Lansing and Crystal Khan; great grandchildren Ashley Eckhardt, Austin Eckhardt, Morgan Jones, Mason Lansing, Bryce Lansing, Chase Lansing, Connor Johnson, Sophia Johnson and Brian Stewart; many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles W. Jones, son Dwight W. Jones, grandson Gilbert Jones and brother William Henry Blanchard. Graveside service 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 12, at the Walnut Valley Memorial Garden Cemetery, 725 Boyer Rd, El Dorado, Kansas. Baker Funeral Home Valley Center is handling arrangements.
