VALLEY CENTER, KANSAS
HERBERT E. HANSON 'HERBIE' went on his last road trip on Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at Reno County Hospice House in Hutchinson. He was born in Randall, Kansas on November 20, 1931 to Harold S. and Dorothy (McElroy) Hanson. He attended Randall High School, then served four years in the U.S. Navy. He retired in 1991 after working 24 years for the Coleman Company. Herbie and Mary went on many trips. Winters were spent in Zapata, Texas with friends. He married Mary M. Hanson of Valley Center on June 24, 1967, she survives. He is also survived by his step-daughter Connie K. Clark, adopted daughter Terrie C. Kale, cousins and many lifelong friends. Herbie enjoyed puttering in his garage, fishing, garage sales and helping others. He never knew a stranger. Per his request no memorial services will be held. Baker Funeral Home Valley Center has charge. Condolences may be left for the family at www.bakerfhvc.com
