WICHITA, KS
Schmidt, Henry L., 78, retired English and Spanish Teacher, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, October 25, 2011. He was born in Wellington, Kansas to Leo Schmidt and Anna (Kleinegger) Schmidt. 1955 in Lima, New York, he married Norma Jean Pinaire. He was a United States Army and Korean War Veteran. Henry is survived by his sons, Dan (Brenda)Schmidt of Cumming, GA, David (Diane) Schmidt of Sidney, Australia, Andy (Terry) Schmidt of Lebanon, MO, Sam Schmidt of Wichita; daughter, Louise (Vic) Calhoun of Boise, ID; grandchildren, Joanna (David), Ryan (Kelsy), Marissa, Josh (Amanda), Grace, David, Jeremy (Sadi) and Charity (Sean); great grandchildren, Jedidiah, Abigail, Liberty and Abigail; sister, Rita (Bob) Kennedy of Oklahoma City, OK. He is preceded in death by his wife Norma Jean Schmidt, and his parents, Leo and Anna Schmidt. Visitation 5-7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 27 at Baker Funeral Home, Valley Center.
