Obituary

Helen H. DeSoto passed away at home on Monday, February 27, 2023 in Valley Center, Kansas. She ascended while surrounded by the love of her daughter, Alexis DeSoto, her three grand daughters—Andreina, Samantha, & Mellissa Lopez, along with four of her great grandchildren Annalize Lopez-Amador, Axl Brewer, Phoenix-Denney , and Paul Grayson.
She was born in Tucson, Arizona to Gilbert and Elena (Perez) Huerta. She was a long resident of Tucson, Arizona, attending school and became a graduate of Pueblo High School going on to further her education, and graduate from ITT technical college. She went on to become a mother of four children, grandmother to six children and great grandmother to 15 children.
She is preceded in death by her parents Elena & Gilbert Huerta, her sister, Sylvia Murguia, her brother, Gilbert Huerta, her son, Martin Otero, and great granddaughter, Adela Piccirillo.
She is survived by her children, Alexis DeSoto and Francisco Soza (Pancho) & his wife Elizabeth Soza, her grandchildren Jessica Piccirillo & her husband Matthew Piccirillo, Jonah DeSoto, Andreina Lopez, Samantha Lopez, Mellissa Lopez, & Julian Soza. Her memory will also be carried on and survived by her great grandchildren Adrian, Adalee, Avery, and Axton Picarillo, Layla, Liliana, Leah, Lena Soza, Gisela & Penelope DeSoto  Phoenix Denney, Paul Grayson, Annalize Lopez-Amador, and Axl Brewer.
