SEDGWICK, KS
Slater, Harvey LaRue, 65, retired oilfield pipefitter, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2013. He was born in Baxter Springs, Kansas to William H. Slater and Ethel Marie (Kelly) Slater. He served in the U. S. Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War era. He is survived by his daughters, Loretta Foster of Sedgwick and Helen Marie Slater of Wichita; 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; brother, Warren Slater of Ozark, Arkansas; sisters, Karen Livingston of Garden City, Kansas and Melva Vinson of Martensdale, Iowa. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Ethel Slater, and brother Denny R. Slater. Services will be held April 5 at Ellinwood Cemetery, Sawyer, Kansas. Baker Funeral Home, 100 S.
