Harry Arthur Witt , 94, of Wichita, Kansas, formally of Pittsburg, Kansas passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at his home. He was born in Pittsburg, Kansas on September 18, 1920 to Clyde Franklin and Zora (Shultz) Witt. He was a graduate of Pittsburg High School, Pittsburg, Kansas. After graduation and during WWII, Harry worked for Boeing Aircraft in Wichita. He later returned to Pittsburg to become a supervisor at the United States Postal Service until he retired after 27 years. On November 2, 1940 Harry married Mildred Deloris (Seely) in Joplin, Missouri. He is survived by his children Mark B. Witt and wife Earlene of Valley Center, Kansas, Donna M. North and husband Sherald of Fleming Island, Florida and daughter in-law Kay Witt of Wichita; grandchildren Kelli (Jon) Larson, Shawn Witt, Travis B. Witt and Millie M. Witt and 4 great-grandchildren. Harry was preceded in death by his wife Mildred Witt, son Lanny Joe Witt, granddaughter Sonya Witt, brother Willis Witt, sister Awanda Witt Smith, parents Clyde and Zora Witt. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 6, 2015 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home, 522 S. Broadway, Pittsburg, Kansas with Pastor Michael Hart officiating. Burial will follow at the Crocker Cemetery, Hwy 171 and NE 90th St, Pittsburg, Kansas. Family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
