Harold Junior Brooks, 64, passed away on Monday, July 21, 2025, at Harry Hynes - St. Francis. He was born Tuesday, July 26, 1960, at Salam Hospital in Hillsboro to Harold R. and Bertha (Friday) Brooks. He was a maintenance worker for multiple companies over the years. He had a great love for life and helping others. Yet his greatest love and enjoyment was being with his family. He was a great husband, father, grandpa, son, brother, uncle and friend.

Harold married the love of his life, Sharlene L. Brunner on November 16, 1985, at the Peabody Christian Church, and together they welcomed two children, son, Christopher F. and daughter, Heather A.

Survivors include his son, Christopher (Kailey) Brooks of El Dorado; daughter, Heather (Matthew) Brooks of Goddard; grandchildren Kinley and Corbitt Brooks of El Dorado; brother, Daryl (Connie) Brooks of Marion; sister-in-law, Esther Brooks of Peabody; brother-in-law, Steven Fensky of Moundridge; many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Sharlene; his parents, Harold and Bertha; sister, Alice Fensky; brothers, Jon and Donnie Brooks.

Service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the Peabody Christian Church, 115 E. Division, Peabody, KS. Graveside service will follow at Prairie Lawn Cemetery.
