Gregory A.
Wiechman
November 7, 1959 – February 1, 2026
Gregory Allen Wiechman, 66, of Arlington, Kansas, passed away on February 1, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on November 7, 1959, in Wichita, Kansas, to Elmer and Dorothy Wiechman. In 1980, he married his high school sweetheart, Kathy, and together they built a life full of love. Greg built their family home in Valley Center, where they raised their four children. He learned the carpentry trade from his dad and spent his early career years building and trimming houses with his brothers. He retired after many years of dedicated service at Boeing/Spirit and also proudly served his community as a volunteer firefighter. In recent years, Greg enjoyed time on his land, his retirement dream.
Above all else, Greg was a family man. He found his greatest joy in watching his grandchildren play sports and spending time with them on the farm—driving them around in the side-by-side and taking them fishing at his pond. He also enjoyed caring for his small herd of cows. He was known as a loving husband, devoted father, and cherished grandpa, always putting his family first and leading with love, patience, and quiet strength.
Greg's faith guided his life, and his warmth and kindness were felt by everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy; his son, Ken; his daughters, Crystal (Dave) Barber and Kaylee (Scott) Goering; and his cherished grandchildren, Cadyn, Kannen, Carley, Easton, Brody, and Miles. He is also survived by his sisters, Marilyn and Patty, and his brothers, Terry and Rick.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Dorothy Wiechman, and his son, Gary Wiechman.
Greg courageously battled brain cancer for two years, facing it with strength, faith, and the unwavering support of his family.
He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
Services will be held 11:00 am, Thursday, February 5, at Risen Savior Lutheran Church, 6770 E. 34th St. N., Wichita, Kansas.
