Gregory A. Jackson, 38, of Valley Center, passed away on November 13, 2015. He was a lifelong resident of Valley Center, was a U.S. Army Veteran who served in Iraq, and served his community as a Police Officer for the Valley Center Police Department. Greg was born in Wichita, Kansas to Carl A. Jackson and Joyce (Denny) Banning, both of Wichita. He attended Valley Center schools, was a 2007 graduate of the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center, and was a recent graduate of Vatterott College. Survivors include his wife, Megan Jackson; his daughter, Morgan Jackson; son, Brennen Jackson;  his parents, Carl Jackson of Wichita, and Joyce & Danny Banning of Valley Center; brothers Jeff (Jennifer) Jackson of Wichita, Scott (Tami) Jackson of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, Jeremy (Rachel) Banning of Wichita, Nicholas (Mariah) Banning of Valley Center; grandfather Martin "Bud" Banning of Tyrone, Oklahoma; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, November 19 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Riverlawn Christian Church, 4243 N. Meridian, Wichita, Kansas. Services will be held Friday, November 20 at 10:00 a.m., also at Riverlawn Christian Church. Baker Funeral Home of Valley Center is handling funeral arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be designated in his memory for the benefit of his children's education.
