WICHITA
Grace Marie (Jacob) Fox, 87, passed away, Wednesday, May 7, 2014. She was born in Wichita, Kansas to Walter Reinhold Jacob and Olive Lee (Burkhart) Jacob. She spent her first 26 years with her parents and sisters on the family farm where she enjoyed helping her dad in the field and with the cattle. She retired from her job as secretary at Ark Valley Christian Church after working there for 15 years. She attended Valley Center country schools and graduated from Maize High School. Grace married Vernon Fox in Severy, Kansas on March 8, 1953. While in Severy, they had four children. She is preceded in death by her parents. Grace is survived by her husband of 61 years, Vernon; children, Colleen Evanega, LeAnn (George) Maskrid, David Fox, Glenn Fox; grandchildren, Nichole (Lloyd) Laurence, Andrea Maskrid, Brit Maskrid, ShawnMarie Rooker, Jacob Fox; five great grandchildren; sisters, Clara (Vernon) Jones of Howard and Wildena Schreier of Fort Dodge, IA; many other family and friends. Visitation before the service with family. Services will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 10, at Baker Funeral Home, 100 S. Cedar, Valley Center. Graveside following the service at Kechi Township Cemetery, 6523 N. Hillside, Wichita. Memorials may be designated to Alpha Christian Children's Home, 15017 27th St, Perry, Kansas 66073.
