Gordon D.
Williams
September 17, 1933 – September 14, 2025
Gordon Williams, of Valley Center, passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2025. He was born at home on Sunday, September 17, 1933, in Alton, Kansas where he met his wife, Margaret, of 72 years. Gordon spent his life loving and supporting his family. He worked as a breadman and milkman in Lawrence, KS at Manor Bakeries, Meyer Dairy, and All Star Dairy. When he retired, he continued to work at O'Rielly's. He greatly enjoyed people and loved hearing and telling stories. Some of Gordon's favorites involved the antics of his brother, Carney William and himself. Gordon and Margaret moved to Valley Center in 2011, to be near their daughter, Jeanette Stanley, and several other family members, after residing in Lawrence for 36 years. They have been members of the Valley Center First United Methodist Church since moving here. They were also devoted members of Grace Presbyterian in Lawrence, KS during their years there.
Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, Chet and Ethel Williams, his sister, Dixie Dickens, and grandson, Kirk Stanley.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret, his brother, Carney Williams, his daughters Jeanette (Ron) Stanley and Kristy (Mike) Beach; three grandchildren Erin (Jarod) Reffner, Joe (Irene) Walker, and Adam (Tana) Walker; and eight great-grandchildren.
A private family celebration of Gordon's life will be at a later date.
