Prieb, Gordon Frederick, 86, retired USD 259 High School Teacher and Business Dept. Coordinator, beloved dad, grandpa and brother, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2012. Gordon was born in Webster, South Dakota, to Herman and Emma (Petrausch) Prieb. He graduated from Webster High School in 1943. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a World War II Veteran. He earned his Master of Science Degree in Business Education. He was a member of Pi Omega Pi, Delta Pi Epsilon, Phi Delta Kappa. He also was a member of Wichita City Business Teachers Association, United Lutheran Church Men, Kansas State Teachers Association, National Education Association and Mountain-Plains Business Education Association. He enjoyed many summers at Enemy Swim Lake in Waubay, South Dakota with his family. Gordon is survived by his daughters, Nancy Prieb of Hutchinson, Kathy White and husband, John, of Bentley; grandson, Ryan White of Hays; sister, Joyce Proctor of Webster, SD; step sister-in-laws, Jo Lutz and Jeanette Lutz of Webster, SD; many nieces and nephews; and his special furry friend, Max; many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, Marian A. Prieb; son, Kenneth Ray Prieb; dad, Herman Prieb, mother, Emma Prieb Lutz and step father, August Lutz; brother, Wesley Prieb; and step brothers, Lawrence Lutz and Leonard Lutz.
