Obituary

Goldie Ruth Robinson, 79, of Valley Center, Kansas, passed away on March 28, 2026, leaving behind a legacy as bright and spirited as the name she carried throughout her life.

Born on July 23, 1946, in Wichita, Kansas, to Myron and Mary Clark, Goldie lived a life defined by strength, wit, and an open heart. A graduate of Wichita Heights High School, her journey took her to La Junta, Colorado, before she returned home to Kansas in 1989 and it was here that she put down lasting roots.

Over the course of her career, she worked in the real estate appraisal field and later served her community with pride as the court clerk at the Valley Center Police Department, from which she retired, a testament to her dedication and steady presence in the lives of those she worked alongside. When she wasn't working, you could often find her lost in a good book, feeding a love of reading that stayed with her throughout her life. Whether on the job or at home, Goldie showed up for others. She was the kind of person who would roll up her sleeves and help a friend or family member without a second thought, asking for nothing in return.

Goldie never met a stranger, only people she hadn't talked to yet. Those who knew her quickly learned two things: she had a sense of humor that could light up any room, and she was never afraid of a good debate. She came prepared, she spoke her mind, and she could back every word of it up. Conversations with Goldie were never dull and never forgotten.

Goldie was extraordinarily proud of her family, the greatest achievement of her life, and that pride shone through in everything she did.

She is preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband Dennis Robinson, with whom she shared 57 devoted years of marriage, and her siblings Jan Clark and Mike Clark. She is survived by her children, Dennis (Candy) Robinson Jr. and Angela (Tony) Montini; her grandchildren, Eric (Shannon) Robinson, Clark Robinson, Katie Montini, and Natalie Montini; and her great grandchildren, Aemon Robinson and Lochlan Robinson. The oldest of 10 siblings, she is also survived by her brothers and sisters: Scotty Clark, Patrick Clark, Eddie Clark, Tommy Clark, Carolyn McClellan, Lisa Land, and Rosemary Creekmore.

Goldie may be gone, but the laughter she sparked, the arguments she won, and the love she gave so freely will echo on in every life she touched. She was one of a kind and the world is richer for having had her in it.

Memorial service to be held May 9th, 11:00 AM at Baker Funeral Home, Valley Center Kansas.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.bakerfhvc.com .
