VALLEY CENTER, KS (formerly of Kansas City, KS)
Carr, Gloria Gay (Braswell), 76, retired Crosslines Cooperative secretary, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2011. She was born in Kansas City, Kansas to Raymond Braswell and Lillian (Ackers) Braswell. She belonged to Eastern Star and American Legion Auxilliary. She is survived by her son, Barry Carr of Valley Center; daughter, Dana Whitlock of Shawnee; granddaughters, Amanda, Tiffany, Stephanie, Sarah and Carlee; great granddaughters, Cheyanne, Katrina and Kaleigha. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Carr, son, Robert "Bobby" Carr II, parents, Raymond and Lillian Braswell, brother, William "Bill" Braswell, and sister, Joy Clark. A Celebration of Life service will be held 3:00-5:00 p.m., January 14th, at Bristol Hill United Methodist Church in Kansas City, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements by Baker Funeral Home, Valley Center. www.bakerfhvc.com
