Lewis, Glenn Charles, 76, retired KG&E Meter Dept. Manager, passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2012. He was born in Concordia, Kansas to Raymond Earl Lewis and Mabel Mae (Moore) Lewis. He attended and graduated from Concordia High School in 1953. He served in the National Guard and received a honorable discharge in April, 1963. On July 21, 1965 He married Jayne Whitton. He loved bowling, reading the Bible with his wife, playing with grandkids, Kansas history, long walks, nature trails, and his love of animals, especially horses and cats. He volunteered at United Methodist Urban Ministries for 10 years. Glenn is survived by his wife, Jayne Lewis of the home; children, Marcie Lewis of OK, Chris Lewis of Wichita, Ginger Lewis of Wichita, Audra (David) Milam of Goddard; grandchildren, Celia, Heath, Raven, Lais (Shane) O'Roark; brothers, Jim (Leslie) Lewis of Manhattan, and Bob (Carole) Lewis of Tulsa, OK; sister, Gloria Breault of Hastings, NE; many other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Mabel Lewis; brothers, Junior Lewis and Donald Lewis; sisters, Bernice Burt, Norma Lee Istas and Shirley Vincent. Service 2:00 pm, Friday, September 14, at Kechi United Methodist Church, 4533 E. 61st St. N., Kechi, Kansas with Pastor Guy Rendoff officiating.
