GLENN  DAVID  ENGLE, was born July 30, 1953 at Herington, Kansas.  He was the only son of Roy and Wilma Engle. He was blessed with four sisters – Rebecca (the late Jerry) Miller, Patricia (Dan) Newman, Kathryn Christiansen and Barbara (David) Potter.  Although he never had the brothers he wanted, he was thrilled with his brothers-in-law.  Glenn was a 1971 Valley Center graduate and attended Sacred Heart College a couple years.  Family was always extremely important to him and he was blessed with ten nieces and nephews – Heather (Joaquin) Beamer, Adena (Derek Burrows) Potter, Hannah (Jey Graham) Purcell, Janie (Chris) Gieschen, Mark (Susie) Christiansen, Malissa & Eli Potter, Kayla, Erin & John Newman.  He also had 13 great nieces & nephews – Tyler & Ethan Campbell, Faith & Hope Beamer, Autumn Purcell, Anthony & Audrianna Rancier, Helix Graham, Victoria Christiansen, Abigail, Jackson, Tessah & Jadon Gieschen, extremely special brother and sister in Christ were Ian Bruce Johnson and Dr. Diana Koenig who loved and encouraged him through the years.  Glenn never met a stranger and had a multitude of friends.  On August 9 th he fell and went to the hospital only to find out that he had no injuries from the fall but had terminal cholangiocarcinoma cancer as well as blood clots and other complications.  He went home to his eternal reward on Wednesday morning, August 17 th .  Glenn was always extremely generous with his meager income and if you would like to honor him, he would love for you to donate generously to your favorite ministry that helps win the lost to Jesus Christ. Visitation 5-7 p.m., Monday, August 22, and Service 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 23, both held at Grace Connections Church, 300 N. Ash, Valley Center.  Graveside following the service at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11800 W. Hwy 54, Wichita, Kansas.  Baker Funeral Home Valley Center is handling arrangements.
