GEORGIA  MAE  (WILLIS)  SOURS - BOYD

Georgia, 87, left her health problems behind to be with Jesus, her Savior, on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 in Halstead, Kansas.  We rejoice in her 'graduation' but she will be missed.  Georgia Mae Willis was born in a log cabin on November 26, 1931 to Clara Mae (Watson) Willis and George Willis.

She will be remembered as a good and sacrificing mother, a caring wife, and a FUN grandmother of eight.  She loved her extended family very much, too.

She married Wesley Sours in Joplin, Missouri on February 11, 1950. Their children who survive are Wesley (Beth) Sours, Jr. of Garland, Texas, Vicki (Gary) Fair of Bentley, Kansas, Rick (Mary) Sours of Denver, Colorado and Debra (Mike) McAuley of Wichita, Kansas. Wesley Sr. passed away on February 4, 1990. She remarried to Paul Raymond Boyd of Valley Center on December 27, 1995. He survives. She is also survived by her brother Harvey Willis of Anderson, Missouri, many beloved nieces, nephews, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Wesley Sours Sr., sisters Rose Parrish, Jewell Stoots, Violet Trussell, brothers James H. Willis, William 'Billy' Willis and Harold Willis.

Her favorite charity was the Salvation Army because of some special childhood memories.

Visitation 5-7 p.m., Monday, January 14 at Baker Funeral Home Valley Center. Services 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 15 at New Bethel Church, Anderson, Missouri with graveside following at New Bethel Cemetery. Condolences may be left for the family at www.bakerfhvc.com .
