George Michael McCurdy , 69, retired CNA and Senior Living Activities Assistant passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2014. He was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Roy Leonal McCurdy and Margaret Viola (Winters) McCurdy. He was a graduate of Halstead High School, Halstead, Kansas. George was a Marine and Vietnam War Era Veteran. He worked as a CNA at Presbyterian Manor, Newton, Kansas. He is preceded in death by his parents Roy McCurdy and Margaret Higgins, his sisters Ruby and Annabelle. George is survived by his daughters Angela McCurdy (Curtis Girk) of Peabody and Micki (Kerry) Fryhover of Newton; grandchildren Alex Fryhover, Abby Fryhover, Keri Fryhover, Sarah Fryhover, Andrew Hase (Leslie Lane), Krystina Hase (Kyle Javier) and Matthew Hase; great grandchildren Montanna Hayes, Taylan Hayes, Lola Galliher, Kaydence Hase and Kaylynn Javier; brothers Tony (Vicki) McCurdy of Newton, Carl (Kathy) McCurdy of Newton, Vernon (Karen) McCurdy of Newton and Sam (Betty) Archer of Arkansas; many other family and friends.
