PARK CITY, KANSAS
GAIL KEITH SHIRE
, 79, retired Signs by Shire Owner, passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2018. He was born in Pond Creek, Oklahoma to Ivan Joseph Shire and Aileen Gail (Palmer) Shire. He attended schools and was a graduate of Pond Creek High School. After graduation he went on to attend OSU. He worked on the family farm and yet was very gifted in hand painting and graphic designs. He owned and operated Signs by Shire in Park City and his wife Jan retired to work with him from 1992 to 2017. He enjoyed fishing with his grandson and spending time with family. Gail is survived by his wife of 32 yrs, Jan Shire; son James Henderson, daughter Dana Loper; grandchildren Andrew, Clayton, Nicholas Henderson, Niles Loper; brothers Fred Shire, Marvin Shire; sisters Beverly Taylor, Karen Fredrick; his beloved dogs Loli and Rowdy; many family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Ivan & Aileen (Palmer) Shire, brothers Joseph 'Sonny' Shire, Loren Shire, Ronald Shire and sister Shirley Snipes.
Visitation
4-6 p.m., Wednesday, July 25 at Baker Funeral Home Valley Center Chapel.
Service
will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, July 26, at Kechi United Methodist Church, 4533 E. 61
st
N, Kechi, graveside following the service at the Kechi Township Cemetery, 6523 N. Hillside, Wichita, Kansas. Condolences may be left for the family at www.bakerfhvc.com
