Gail William "Bill" Dunn, 96, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 16, 2013. He was born in Marion, Kansas to Clyde William Dunn and Fern (Pollitt) Dunn. He met the love of his life, Arlene Lucille Davison and they were married August 10, 1940. He was a U. S. Air Force and World War II Veteran. He is survived by his children, Beverly (Darrell) Davis of Valley Center, Karen Crego of Valley Center, Carol (Richard) LaFalier of Oklahoma City, Richard Dunn of Valley Center, Bradley (Cindy) Dunn of Park City; sister, Ruth Spinden of Ft. Collins, CO; brother, Max Dunn of Newton; 17 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Arlene Dunn; daughter-in-law, Cindy Dunn; parents, Clyde and Fern Dunn; brothers, Don Dunn and Ralph Dunn. He retired from the Sedgwick County maintenance department as a welder, and was previously employed at Boeing, Cessna and Beechcraft. He was a long time and active member of the American Legion. He took pride in the "Avenue of Flags" in Valley Center. He also enjoyed woodworking, gardening, volunteering for Meals on Wheels, delivering newspapers and could fix about anything. He and Arlene spent much of their time and enjoyed travelling the United States. Services 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 19, with visitation before, at Valley Center First United Methodist Church, 560 N.
