Urban, Fred, 81, retired Boeing machinist and Union Equity grain mixer, beloved husband, dad and grandfather, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2012. He was born in Ashland, Kansas to George S. and Phileomana Urban. He is survived by his wife, Patricia "Pat" Urban; daughters, Deborah (Jim) Buller of Wichita, and Leigh Ann (Mike) Lies of Wichita; grandchildren Kira (Danny) Burt, Elissa Buller, Lauren Lies and Jordan Lies; 4 great grandchildren; and sister Eleanor VanAusdall. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Joe Urban and Arthur Urban; sisters, Teckla Breit, Tillie Wiseman and Leona Stegman. Visitation 5-7 p.m. Thursday, March 1, at Baker Funeral Home, 100 S. Cedar, Valley Center. Service 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 2, at Riverview Baptist Church, 844 W. 53rd St. N, Wichita.
