Obituary

NEWTON, KANSAS

FRANK  C.  BROWN,  JR. , 78, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Newton Medical Center surrounded by family and friends. Frank was born and raised in Donnelly, Minnesota. He settled in Ottawa, Kansas after meeting the love of his life Wilma Jean (Oakes) Brown while he was stationed at Fort Riley serving in the US Army. Frank was passionate about sports, family and his faith. He spent nearly all his life serving the church in different capacities including as a Gideon.

Frank was preceded in death by his wife Wilma Jean Brown, his parents Frank Brown, Sr. and Elma (Perkins) Brown, and two brothers Lee and Kelley Brown. Frank's survivors include his brother Richard Brown (Renee) of Kearney, MO; two children: Audry Brungardt (Jo) of Newton, KS, Roy Brown of Olathe, KS; two grandchildren: Jared Brungardt (Antonette) of Wichita, KS, Aaron Brungardt (Mikala) of Redding, CA; and four great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 24, at Christ Lutheran Church, 5356 N Hillside St, Wichita, Ks 67219. Graveside services will follow at Highland Cemetery, 1050 E 15th St, Ottawa, Ks 66067 at 3:00 p.m. with military honors.

Memorials may be designated in his memory to Baker Funeral Home Valley Center, Ks or to your local hospice organizations.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.bakerfhvc.com
