Floyd L. Walker, 86, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 18, 2026, at his home in Park City, Kansas.  He was born Friday, September 29, 1939 in Stillwell, Oklahoma to Albert L. Walker and Daisy D. Bradley Walker. Mostly he was raised in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma, but the family also lived in Anadarko, Oklahoma for a while.  When his dad could not get a jjob, the family moved to Wichita, Kansas in 1958, while Floyd was in the 10th grade. That year Floyd got his first job with the Thompson Hayward Chemical Company.  He later worked at Garwin, after 5 years, where after 5 years, he was given a watch for excellent work!  His career included jobs at Standard Precision, Aircraft  Instrument and Development, Wichita Engineering. In 1970 he married the love of his life, Sharon Mackenzie. In 1985, he started Kansas Gun Drilling with his wife which they ran together for 22 years.  In 1960, Floyd bought his first Plymouth, which he later restored and he became an avid collector of classic cars which he carefully restored.  Floyd had several that he enjoyed displaying at car shows. 

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Sharon of 49 years, his brother Leland O. Walker and his sister Alberta Walker, Barnett.  Survivors include his son Michael Walker of Wichita, Kansas, his stepdaughter Janet Chandarlis (Jim) of O'Fallon, Illinois, 7 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.

Graveside will be 10:00 am, Saturday, September 26, 2026 at White Chapel, 1806 N Oliver, Wichita, Kansas.
