Obituary

SEDGWICK, KANSAS

EVELYN META (TRESEMER) BROWN , 89 years, was called to be with the Lord on Friday, December 8, 2017. She was born in Neillsville, Wisconsin to Emil Otto Augustus and Hattie Hedwig Matilda Philomena (Reetz) Tresemer. She met and married the love of her life Henry Andrew Brown on August 8, 1947 in Springfield, Missouri. They eventually moved to Wichita, then Sedgwick, Kansas. Evelyn just retired after 42 years as a Dietician at Diversacare Nursing Home, Sedgwick, Kansas. She enjoyed so work, but most of all she loved being with her family. She is survived by her children Gary (Vicki) Brown of Sedgwick, Carol (Mike) Stone of Alabama, Linda (Kenny) Johnson of Wichita, Rick (Peggy) Brown of Sedgwick and Randy (Debbie) Brown of Sedgwick; grandchildren, Dawn, Shana, Gary Jr., Tonya, Zachary, Kristina, Niki, Joshua, Clinton, Cody, Andrea, Devon and Stacy; 30 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren; many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 yrs, Henry Brown, grandsons Jamie Brown and Jason Stone, brother Roland Tresemer, sisters Susie, Lucy and Gertie. Visitation 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, December 12; and Service 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 13, both held at the Sedgwick United Methodist Church, 600 N. Commercial, Sedgwick, Kansas. Graveside following the service at Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick. Memorials may be designated in her memory to Diversacare of Sedgwick, 712 Monroe, Sedgwick, Ks 67135.
