ERVIN LEROY WIECHMAN was born near Barnes, Kansas, on May 18, 1928, to Adolph & Clara (Wieters) Wiechman. He had a special love for the country & for farming, but also for carpentry, his life-long occupation and was a loyal union member. Much of his work was through Joe McGill Co., which sent him to job sites across the state. Ervin was a loving dedicated husband and father, and a wonderful grandfather, always eager to help with his grandchildren's care. He and Wilma, led a quiet simple life together which consisted of church on Saturday nights, attending family reunions, and country drives to small town cafes for pie & coffee. Ervin is preceded in death by his wife Wilma in 2015, son Stanley in 2013, infant children Mark & Julie, & brothers Raymond, Elmer (Dorothy), Wilbert (Norma), & Robert 'Bob' (Nadine) Wiechman. He is survived by his son Duane (Teresa) Wiechman of Conroe, Texas; granddaughters Emily Wiechman and Amanda (Buck) Nacol and their little boys Cason and Colton, all of Conroe, Texas; daughter-in-law Beth Wiechman & grandson Ansehelm of Sedgwick; son Ron (Barbara) Davis, Jr of Ellsworth and their children: Ron Davis Jr. (Dina) - Connor, Kaden, Kolby, Chad Davis (Ericka) - Andrew, Emersyn, Bryce Davis - Dawson and Hadleigh, Niki Davis - Dayton; sisters Esther Riesen of Tucson, Arizona and Ila Reinhardt of Fort Worth, Texas; sister-in-law Dora Wiechman from Washington, Kansas and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Viewing 10 a.m., Service 11 a.m., Thursday, February 23, 2017, at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 2555 Hyacinth, Wichita. Graveside following at the Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick, Kansas.
